Vulnerability in ATM vendors Diebold and NCR fixed
The flaws that could have allowed crooks to modify the amount of money they deposited on their card, so-called Deposit forgery, and make fraudulent cash withdrawals abusing of the new account balance. Once modified the account balance, the cybercriminals quickly attempt to make cash withdrawals, before the bank will detect the anomalous increase of the account balance. The two bugs, tracked as CVE-2020-9062 and CVE-2020-10124 affect respectively Diebold Nixdorf ProCash 2100xe USB ATMs running Wincor Probase software and NCR SelfServ ATMs running APTRA XFS software.
