VirusTotal has now entered into an alliance with Blueliv that will allow both companies share cyber intelligence knowledge to protect their users and clients against new cyber threats. VirusTotal is a free online service that analyzes files and URLs enabling the identification of viruses, worms, trojans and other kinds of malicious content detected by different security vendors.
As part of this collaboration, VirusTotal has just integrated Blueliv’s high-quality information sources in its platform to provide another relevant verdict on URLs submitted by the users and increase the quality of the offered service.
VirusTotal will concretely include the real-time results of the malicious URL tracker of our platform into their service. Blueliv’s tracker offers visibility of all the sites used as C&C infrastructure, malware distribution, targeted attacks and sites with exploit kits. According to Blueliv’s cyber threat intelligence analytics, the number of malicious sites continues rising and 48% of the malicious URL have been geolocated in China followed by US with a 31% during the last quarter.
