This year, we had the opportunity to exhibit in this year’s edition of Infosecurity Europe (Infosec) in London, Europe’s largest and most comprehensive Information Security event, which welcomed more than 13,500 visitors including industry’s thought leaders and experts.
Threat Intelligence high in the Agenda
The 22nd edition took place from the 6-8th June and it was a great success. Blueliv was at the stand T52.
Our stand received a lot of visitors, both existing and potential customers and it was wonderful to interact with all of them. Our security experts had the chance to connect with numbers of professionals and peers from the industry and demonstrate how our threat intelligence can turn global threats into predictive, actionable intelligence that detects, identifies, and helps stop cyber threats.
Our team were performing live demos of Blueliv Threat Intelligence Platform and demonstrating how we currently help global organizations to detect, react and mitigate threats faster.
We also had constructive conversations with MSSPs and business partners showing how our platform can help them to generate new revenue streams and protect their customers.
Contextualized Threat Intelligence
Our security experts noticed that there has been a shift towards contextualized threat intelligence, finding that more and more visitors are looking for this. Without context, threat intelligence could become an unmanageable stream of alerts. Indeed, customers require more and more intelligence to be processed, evaluated, cross-related and relevant to the given organization. This is what we use to call Business Threat Intelligence.
Additionally, across all industry sectors people are building up their threat intelligence teams, CISO’s are looking to build sophisticated layered threat intelligence teams and give them the tools to deliver to their organizations.
For these reasons, CISO´s are more and more convinced that the success of their Threat Intelligence team relies more than ever on their ability to empower them. Providing them real-time, scalable and automated solutions is without doubt part of the equation.
Threat Intelligence: it is now about Quality VS Quantity
Many of our conversation was focused on the quality of the threat intelligence delivered.
In a recent Ponemon survey*, when asked why organizations are not satisfied with the threat intelligence they receive, the respondents are highlighting the following:
- The information that they receive is not timely
- They are uncertain about the trustworthiness of the data
- The information is not contextualized to make it actionable
This reflects quite well what we have been hearing during the 3 days of the event, and Blueliv is there at the forefront to meet this new challenge with our unique Cyber Threat Intelligence Platform that delivers contextualized actionable Threat Intelligence right out of the box.
In addition, the event was not only about vendors meeting customers. The Europe’s Conference Programme hosted over 200 hours of free education with over 270 renowned expert speakers presenting in eight conference theaters and showing the latest industry trends, solutions and more.
This is another great occasion to learn, to exchange with peers and keep ourselves up- to-date with state of art cyber security practices. This is part of an overall collaborative model that Blueliv wants to encourage and contribute to developing through the Blueliv Threat Exchange Network.
It was great meeting you, and we hope to continue our conversation soon.
